In June 2021, ScarJo, the actress who played the lead role in Marvel’s Black Widow, revealed that the film would be her last film. She felt the film was a powerful experience and she felt nostalgic for it. But in July 2021, she sued Disney, claiming the company broke the agreement by releasing Black Widow on Disney+ and in theaters at the same time.

She claimed she attempted to renegotiate her contract before the release and that her payment was determined based on box office performance. Still, the studio refused, causing the person to lose an estimated $50 million in revenue. Her lawyer argued that Disney had decided with the company’s interests in mind – not hers.

In response, Disney said the lawsuit was “tragic and disturbing in its negligence toward the devastating and long-lasting global impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic” and had no merit. On September 30, 2021, the two parties settled out of court, with Johansson being awarded $40 million.

Is Scarlett Johansson A Singer?

Sure! “Falling Down,” the lead single from Johansson’s 2008 album Anywhere I Lay My Head, featured background vocals by none other than David Bowie. Tom Waits and his wife wrote some of the songs on the album, and there was also an original song called “Song for Joe.” The album sold an estimated 25,000 copies worldwide, but it didn’t sell very well.

The duet album Break Up, which Johansson and Pete Yorn recorded together in 2006, was released a year later. “It seemed like an interesting little adventure,” he said of the project.

The concept of the duet is a way for two people to express their relationship… I’ve always thought of it as a little project between friends. It accurately reflected my circumstances at the time. The album sold 50,000 copies and received a gold certification in France.
