Erriyon Knighton Early Career

Erriyon Knighton is a talented athlete under the age of 18 who began her junior track and field career at Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida. He completed the 200-meter event in 20.33 seconds, the second-fastest time ever recorded by an athlete under the age of 18, setting a new record at the 2020 USA Track & Field Junior Olympics.

His skill caught the attention of Adidas, and in January 2021 he negotiated a high-profile sponsorship deal. After gaining momentum during the US Olympic Trials, Knighton surpassed Usain Bolt’s under-20 record in May 2021. He qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with a final time of 19.84 seconds.
