Born in 1947, Austrian-American bodybuilder, businessman, and former politician Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is best known for his roles in popular action films. From 2003 to 2011, he was the 38th governor of California. One of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, Schwarzenegger began lifting weights at the age of 15 and became the Mr. Universe champion at the age of 20.

The second son of Gustav Schwarzenegger and his wife Aurelia, Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria in 1947. During World War II, Gustav, a member of the Nazi Party, served as a military police officer and became a Hauptfeldwebel. His family was strict, with his father preferring his eldest son Meinhard over Arnold. He married Aurelia in 1945.

Together, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger had four children, all of whom were born in Los Angeles. After divorcing in 2011, they shared custody of their two youngest children. It was revealed in 2011 that Schwarzenegger and his housekeeper Mildred Patricia “Patty” Baena had fathered another son, Joseph, more than 14 years earlier.

Baena, a native of Guatemala, worked for the Schwarzenegger family for twenty years before retiring in 2011. Joseph was born five days after Shriver gave birth to a child. Despite the controversy, Schwarzenegger immediately assumed financial responsibility for Joseph.
